Many people underestimate the power of scent but in fact, scent is the strongest of all our senses. It’s been shown to impact mood, and it is responsible for an estimated 75% of our emotions every single day!
But did you know artificial fragrances like candles can cause respiratory disease and infection, asthma attacks, and even cancer?
Neither did I! Until I met my boyfriend, who has athsma.
As a Sustainable Product Researcher for Sleepbo, I’ve researched countless wellness products that claim to have health benefits. None have interested me more than essential oil diffusers!
So when my manager asked me to test one as a part of this series, I couldn’t wait for my boyfriend to try one!
I definitely understand why everyone is so obsessed with these diffusers but the next question I had was: which brand to buy from?
After hours of research, I made the decision to buy my diffuser from a great brand called kuddly. I chose them for a few pretty important reasons.
These workers at kalmkoala deserve an award for how quickly they packed and dispatched my package. I got it the next day! I couldn’t believe how quickly it came.
I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with an early Christmas gift (and wanted to convince him to take some corny photos with me for this article), so I wrapped it up right away and put it under our tree.
When he came home from work, I surprised him and told him to open it. He was a good sport (see that cheeky grin!) and played along for me.
But, once we opened the package, we were both pretty shocked at how high quality the craftsmanship was. It looks and feels like a really high-end luxury product! I can’t believe I only paid £108 and got 6 FREE essential oils to go with it!
We plugged it in and filled the reservoir as instructed. We decided to try the Energy blend first and all I can say is: Wow!
This thing smells amazing! It fills the whole room with this wonderful, calming fragrance that instantly makes you feel uplifted.
What’s even better is that my boyfriend didn’t find it irritating at all! In fact, he mentioned the scent made him feel relaxed and happy. I was so impressed, right off the bat.
We decided to try to keep the diffuser in the living room/office space, to get a better sense of how it would work for improving focus and general mood.
Let me just say, I adored having lovely aromas in the house again! You don’t realize how much scent can totally change the atmosphere of your living environment until you come home and take a deep breath of fresh, amazingly scented air. And it makes it so much better that it’s non-toxic!
One thing I will say is that I wish there wasn’t a little light ring on them. It’s making me hesitant to try it in my bedroom as I’m an incredibly light sleeper and I’m worried the light will disturb me. My boyfriend, on the other hand, loves the light and thinks it adds to the atmosphere. Opposites attract, I guess!
After about a month of use, I purchased 2 more diffusers and a bunch of extra oils. I want to try the Eucalyptus single oil in the bathroom, and my boyfriend wants to try the Calm blend in our bedroom. The packages are on their way now and I can’t wait to get them!
